KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 – Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan expressed his gratitude to all Umno members nationwide for concluding their branch meetings yesterday.
He said more than 21,000 branches nationwide have completed the meeting.
“Umno will continue its struggle for Malaysians. More than 21,000 branches have concluded their meeting, so are Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri. Our strength as the largest party is maintained.
“Congratulation and thanks for the job done,” the Pontian MP said.
The Supreme Council (MKT) meeting in September had decided the dates for all branches, divisions and the General Assembly for year 2021 to begin on October 15 without any elections for party posts since the Registrar of Societies (RoS) had approved it to be postponed until 29 December 2022.
The meetings were conducted face-to-face and virtually to comply with the Covid-19 SOP.
Delegates meeting for Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri divisonal meetings will be held on 11-12 December while divisonal delegate conference is to held simultaneously on December 18.
The party’s General Assembly is scheduled to be held on 13-15 January 2022.
