PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim credited Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the party’s MPs for helping to shape the country’s history after the last 15th general election.
Anwar, who returned to Dewan Merdeka 25 years after being dismissed from Umno as its then deputy president, noted the many “attacks” against Zahid since being appointed as one of two deputy prime ministers.
“If it wasn’t Zahid and Umno MPs, our history would be different,” he said in his speech during the Unity Government Convention at WTC, yesterday.
As such, he said Zahid and Umno must to be recognised.
