YOUNG Umno leaders must no longer demand for positions, contracts and titles simply because Umno is part of the unity government.

Party deputy president Mohamad Hasan said leaders from the Youth and Puteri wings should instead step up and show leadership, and make an effort for the sake of the party.

“I wish to stress that the Youth and Puteri movements are armadas in the progress of Umno and the Malays.

Therefore, stop demanding for positions, contracts and titles. Do not be fooled by the illusion of power and remuneration, just because we are part of the government at this time,” he said in his speech when simultaneously launching the Umno Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings’ assemblies here, last night.
