THE Supreme Council meeting has agreed to pursue and strengthen Muafakat Nasional with PAS, notably in preparing it for any possibilities.

UMNO Secretary-General Tan Sri Annuar Musa said in a media statement that the Council has discussed at length the issue of Muafakat Nasional’s future and direction in view of current political scenario in light of its commitment to the rakyat.

“The MT is worried with the status of the Malays, Bumiputras, Muslims and the rakyat who are becoming more suppressed as a result of Pakatan Harapan failures.

“Hence, in its monthly meeting the Council has given the latest picture of the current political situation. Even the President has explained on the latest approach that might summon the needs to collaborate with PAS over so many scenarios, in the context of Muafakat Nasional,” he said.

The Council is fully satisfied with such explanations and has given its downright attention over the President’s action, he said.
