MANY questions were raised about the status of Muafakat Nasional after the UMNO 2020 General Assembly.
Given that MN involves other political partners, it is not appropriate for me to write beyond what I have said at the PWTC. The only thing I can say is that, UMNO is serious in strengthening the Muafakat Nasional formed in 2019.
If we look back, how easy it was to unite the ummah under Muafakat Nasional idea. Thats God, the signing of its charter took place at Dewan Merdeka, the main hall of the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) on 14 September 2019.
MN notched various successes since then. Winning many by-elections (PRK) and together fighting for the interests of the people.
The momentum of confidence from all walks of life irrespective of race and religion was very encouraging. They believe in that MN, and not this one. It was the sincere synergy formed by UMNO and its political partners.
Therefore, I hope that political partners in Muafakat Nasional consider wisely the importance of defending the originality of Muafakat Nasional.
Let’s learn from the story of Angkatan Perpaduan Ummah and Semangat 46 which took a tumble when the political coalition was formed dishonestly.
