KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 – UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi urged Malaysians not to lose hope in their fight against Covid-19.
He was aware of the agony and sacrifices in attending to the pandemic ever since the first Movement Control Order (MCO was enforced on March 18 last year.
“No improvement as at today, in fact it worsen. I am equally frustrated.”
“There are people who lost their jobs, businesses going down, children staying away from school for a long time and many other predicaments. We still hope for a better tomorrow although sucked into this difficulty.
“However, in reality there are between 2,000 and 3,000 new infection daily in the country. The Emergency Ordinance seems to have failed in containing it,” he said in a Facebook posting today.
The Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament said he is also restricted from expediting the duty as a Parliamentarian.
“We, the elected reps have to find other avenues to help out the nation and its people. Whatever the difficulties are, be strong and keep praying,” he said.
