KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 – Wanita expressed its deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah who granted audience to political leaders and held discussion with them.

The King also held a meeting with the Malay Rulers specifically the government effort to combat the spread of Covid-19.

Its chief Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad said the decree issued by the King yesterday should serve as a guide to the government in managing the country amid the pandemic.

“Wanita would like to thanks The King and the Rulers for their concern and wisdom. It is a testament to the principle of Constitutional Monarchy and Parliamentary Democracy envisaged in our Constitution,” she said in a media statement.

In a statement yesterday, The King expressed his view that Parliament should reconvene as soon as possible.
