Immediate, not two or three months later – Zahida

KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 – Immediate means as soon as possible, not another two of three months later, said Puteri chief Datuk Zahida Zarik Khan.

Commenting on the order by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Mustafa Billah Shah aftera meeting with the Malay Rulers, recently, she said The King meant ‘immediate reconvene’ of the Parliament.

“Its clear that The Majesty really takes into consideration the depleting economy, Covid-19 management and the political instability of the country.

“However, what’s intriguing us are the statements by some government leaders simply misconstrued his statement,” she said in a Facebook posting.

She said, the Istana Negara official Facebook page had once again uploaded similar graphical statement made a few days before.

“What does it mean? To me, it’s not a usual one because it should be digested as a decree by The King,” she said.

In that manner, she said the government leaders must not manipulate it for their self-vested interest.

“Stop giving lame excuses,” she said.
