KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 – Failing to address the people’s economy will be disastrous, said Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
In his Twitter posting, he said almost all sectors have been badly effected due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) imposed by the government to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Almost all business are crippled, so are the tourism, construction, aviation, transportation and other services.
“It demands the government to consider the immediate fiscal, micro and macro economic policies,” he said.
In another issue, the Pontian Member of Parliament also feels troubled at the depleting ringgit value on the international currency market.
“Due to the closure of the country’s border, the tourism sector is badly hit. It led to spiraling cost of imported goods.
“In will be better if the ringgit appreciates, reduce food import and the country be self-sufficient,” he said.
