Avoid ‘Crony Capitalism’ in factories-over-life!

KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 – Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan regrets that the daily Covid-1 new infection case is still high when it recorded another 199 deaths, the highest since the country was hit by the pandemic.

In attending to it, he hopes the government will not subscribe to crony capitalism.

“Never let the capitalist interest supersedes the people’s life,” he said in his Twitter.

He said this amid rising new infection cases at workplace which involves 17 new clusters today.

“Back in my hometown, a grandchild working at a factory contracted the disease and ended up taking the grandma’s life today,” said the Pontian MP.

Hence, he urges the government to act more swiftly against the errant factories in containing the pandemic at workplace.

“I suggests they shut down the errant factories for failing to observe full SOP, give their workers the two doses of vaccine by purchasing it themselves from the genuine dealers.”
