KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 – Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki hopes that #TuntutanRAKYAT for the increase in Covid Special Assistance (BKC) quantum will become a reality.

He said, the assistance is not only a ‘safety net’ to move the people from short-term hardship but also as a stimulus to the country’s economic growth which was badly hit by the pandemic.

“It is understood that among details of the MoU between the Government and Pakatan Harapan is that it requires the government to increase fiscal injection through additional aid funds to the people.

“It is hoped that through this fiscal injection, the people will benefit from it, that there is no discrimination between GKP recipients and BKC, taking into account the M40 group who are also very affected besides B40.

“Hopefully this will become a reality in the near future when the 2022 Budget is announced later,” he said in a FB posting, today.
