We are optimistic, says Ahmad Maslan

JASIN, Oct 22 – Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan is of the view that the spirit shown by the party machinery is very encouraging in facing the Melaka State Election (PRN).
He said they were also confident that the potential candidates should be able to retain Barisan Nasional (BN) to govern the state government.
“I see the spirit of Umno/BN machinery is very high and they will abide by the leadership decision in choosing candidates. They also wanted to repeat past mistakes.
“We have lost the state and the country before… in their hearts they only want victory to rule the state and the country, that’s what I see in general,” he said after attending a briefing on the machinery for the Rim state seat, which was also attended by Jasin Umno Division Head Datuk Hasan Rahman.
Ahmad will also be in Tangga Batu constituency on Sunday.
Commenting further, the Pontian Member of Parliament said he had examined the data and voting information provided and is confident that BN would achieve success in the PRN.
“Every DUN provided complete data on machinery,” he added, adding that  the machinery at all levels are ready to ensure Umno/BN’s victory.
