Strengthen party to stage GE15 tsunami

AMPANG, Oct 25 – Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan reminds party members not to be complacent in making preparations to stage a tsunami in the 15th general election.

Although the party lost in GE14, no member left it en masses when some leaders jumped ship.

“This scenario frightens friends and foes. We lost heavily in 2018 but only some left, so strengthen the party to stage a tsunami in the next general election.

“We need to be alert since our opponents tries to confuse us… so don’t be complacent. They won GE14 after demonising Umno, alleging it was the end of the party, as what DAP did. Our 22-month as the Opposition is enough, we managed to unite and getting stronger,” he said.

Mohamad said this when officiating party branches in Ampang division here on Sunday.

He also cited how the opponents spinned on ex-premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak wanted to take over the Melaka election directorship.

Najib had earlier applied to defer his trip to Singapore when in fact he only wanted to join campaigning in the state election (PRN).

“Don’t bother with what they say. Victory is our objective. No need to be too members-centric, what’s more important is support-centric,” said the Rantau state assemblyman.
