KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 – Umno has decided to continue its political cooperation with PAS in Muafakat Nasional.

The Supreme Council meeting has also decided appointing Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan as the Melaka state election (PRN) director.

Secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the MKT special meeting passed a resolution to continue MN provided that PAS is guided by the principle that the party uses its own party emblem although is it in line with the Perikatan Nasional’s decision during meetings on 18 November 2020 and 19 October 2020.

It is meant to avoid clashes with each other in Melaka.

The Pontian MP also said the Supreme Council also gave a mandate to the President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to finalize any decision related to PRN.
