Lie and slander do not sell anymore

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 – Treasurer Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor was grateful for BN’s victory in Melaka state election after the final result showed the coalition wrest a thumping two-third majority to form a state government.

He said the victory is a testimonial how the people are doing away with lie and slander spewed by other parties, and a proof that they want stability in this multiracial country.

“Alhamdulillah, all praises to Allah. Congrats to BN, and my gratitude to the voters. This is sweet, really sweet not only for Melaka but the whole nation,” he said.

“I’m lost in words when our manifesto ‘Stability for Prosperity’ was accepted by the voters,” he said in a FB posting.

The Putrajaya MP also said BN had always kept to its promises and its track record for the country’s development is undeniable.

“As the Opposition then, we never abandoned our friends, we still respect them but the tactics of lie, slander and bad dispositions had resulted in some of our leaders produced in court. We still uphold the judiciary and let them decide,” he said.

The Melaka state election is also a testimony for loyalty among BN component parties.

“We are still together, namely Umno, MCA and MIC. Over the years since we are in Perikatan, we march together for the interest of the people.”

Ku Nan also thanked leaders and the BN machinery for their efforts in securing the victory.
