KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 – Umno Treasurer Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor called on the people to reject lies, slanders and empty promises for the sake of their future and the nation.

The Putrajaya MP was commenting on short video accusing Umno leaders of corrupt and other crimes.

“Do remember how the Barisan Nasional goverment was brought down on lies and slanders but we managed to proved they were wrong, and in fact we are the best,” he said in a FB posting.

His special officer has lodged a police report against the said video.

Ku Nan said he has been ridiculed by this who produced the video clip which linked him and others in corruption and money laundering.

“They even accused me of an outsider just because I am of Acheh origin.

“Didn’t the see how I was produced and shamed in court over the last two years over the crimes I never committed. It tarnished my reputation and put my family in unbearable shame.”

He described them as making their own judgement over cases involving Umno leaders.

“Their have shallow mind. Why didn’t they be factual and more detailed?” he asked.

He reminded the people not be easily-led by any ill intention to ruin the harmonious Malaysia.

“The social media should be more alert of such bad elements. As human beings, we should be able to ascertain its truth and lies, and between the good and bad” he said.
