KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 – Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the Melaka state election result is petrifying a party that had ruled the country for 22 months.
He said it also worries another party Umno used to be together with in a short-lived government coalition, including those who withdrew their support.
“They withdrew after noticing how the people were rejecting the coalition.
“And as at today, fear shrouds them after realising the revival of Barisan Nasional.
“They are even petrified after BN’s thumping victory in the November 20th state election,” he said in a FB posting.
The BN chairman also said as such, they hurled unscrupulous remarks against BN leaders, meant to break them apart.
“Such is their worrisome about the revival of BN, as if they are afraid of their own shadow. They are now haunted by their own wrongdoings on BN.
“They ousted the BN government in 2018 by lie and slanders. They even did fabricated character assassination and instigated people’s hatred toward us.”
The Bagan Datuk MP added they defeated BN by making false promises, and even applied pressure on BN leaders.
“However, we are convinced that their people have realised it after noticing how much they tried to demonise BN and its leaders.
“God willing, BN will make a big comeback in the next general election,” he said.
