KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 – All meetings involving Wanita, Pemuda, Puteri and divisions will be held on December 11, 12 and 18 nationwide, said Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan after the Supreme Council (MKT) meeting on Wednesday.
“Hopefully the meetings will run smoothly and according to the Covid-19 SOP. More than 20,000 branch meetings were concluded from October until November 30 successfully,” he said in a media statement.
He added that the party General Assembly (PAU) 2021 is slotted for January 13-15 at the World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur in face-t0-face and hybrid methods.
“This is because of the SOP we must abide to. Further information about PAU will be made known latter,” said the Pontian Member of Parliament.
In other developments, the MKT also expressed sincere gratitude to all machineries for the thumping victory in Melaka state election.
“They also thanked the people and voters in Melaka for giving the trust to Barisan Nasional to secure 75 per cent of three quarter seats in the November 20th election.
“We hope the new Melaka administration will expedite their duty well for the sake of the people,” he said.
On another matter, Ahmad said the MKT was saddened with the failure of former Prime Minister Najib Razak in his appeal at the Court of Appeal.
“Without losing our respect to the court’s decision, we hope he will get a fair treatment at the Federal Court since he is among few Umno leaders slapped with political prosecution after the 14th general election.
“Umno always trust the judiciary,” he said.
