AYER HITAM, Feb 10 – Barisan Nasional Deputy Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has advised all machinery not to be complacent and in ‘comfort zone’ after victory in a series of previous elections.
The Johor State Election Director (PRN) also said that such perceptions should be avoided because each area or state has different demographics and profiles.
“Let’s move together to implement our strategy in Johor. To win is simple, that is do not repeat past mistakes and resolve any internal issues before facing the enemy.
“The enemy is indeed preparing to shoot at us, to see BN succumb in Johor. Let us make sure that the perception of those who want to bury Umno/BN is wrong, instead we should bury them in this PRN. Everyone wants to see us. This is a challenge, it is also a trust and responsibility to ensure our victory on March 12,” he said in a briefing and handing at the Central Zone here last night.
Also present were BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, state BN chairman Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad, presidents of component parties and coalition partners, central and state level leadership and machinery.
Mohamad aka ‘Tok Mat’ also said all parties need to put aside petty matters because winning the Johor PRN is the top priority.
