KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 – Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said all slanders and fabricated lie spawn by Umno’s political enemies are meant to serve their charades in run-up to the Johor state election.

However, he said the accusations hurled at the party did not happen when there were no elections.

“They will only orchestrated it during by-elections and state elections. They created many lies, that some Umno leaders came with this and that files, asking for bail out or something like that.

“Where there is no election, we hear nothing of it, no files, no negotiation.

“In this drama, the principle is simple – that the truth is selective. Things deemed wrong to them will be made as wrong if its not on their side. That’s what PH and PN are,” he said in a FB posting.

He also said soon after Pakatan Harapan and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) were in power, some muscle flexing tactics against Umno were made. He gave examples:

a) Umno must get rid of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and he (Zahid) himself, including other leaders who went against PM and Bersatu.

b) Umno leaders must be slapped with as much prosecution as possible, unless they agreed to join Bersatu, their cases would be dropped instantly as given to Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin who earlier faced prosecution.

c) Umno leaders must give proof of their decency and to dissolve Umno.

d) They must avoid any investigation and to lure as many Umno members to join Bersatu.

e) They were assumed guilty although the court was in proceeding. However, if their own leaders like Syed Saddiq and Lim Guan Eng were prosecuted and didn’t belong to the ‘court cluster’, hence the principle of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ applies. However, it doesn’t apply to Umno leaders.

“I find its weird. The story of Umno leaders beg with their files and asking for acquittal are crap. But it will continue to come out their mouth. Expect many more.

“Wait until the nomination day and during campaigning in Johor. They will come up with various crap. Their tactic is, if they cant attack Umno’s candidates in the state, they will make it as national lie,” he said.
