Put an end to politics of hatred, urges Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 – Party President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi hopes there will an end to the politics of sedition and hatred as it doesn’t benefit the people.
For instant, he cited allegations being hurled at him and others Umno leaders.

“It is natural for us to defend ourselves from any allegations, and me too. Don’t I deserve every right to defend myself or rather keeping quite?

“I’am silent all these whiles but friends say I should be defensive. So, here I am,” he said in a FB posting, today.
The BN chairman also said he will not kneel in pursuing the party’s struggle.
“No, I will not be on my knees, come what may. To take a swear by the holy Quran has to be taken because the accusation against me was outrageous.
“In run-up to Johor state election, it gets rampant. Can you think of its motive? If you bring it to court, it will be a long process and it will only be proven after the Johor PRN has long ended.
“Swearing is not a joke as the implications may not be in the world but in the hereafter… The question again, if he is telling the truth, why is he afraid to take the swear?
“Maybe he as the son of a scholar, already knows the consequences if he do it,” he said in reference to Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Bagan Datuk, however said he has forgiven those who demonised him. “The same goes to his supporters who helped spreading lies and slanders.
“May God forgive whatever our mistakes are and the stability and prosperity radiated in Johor Darul Takzim on March 12,” he said.
Earlier, he explained once again about the accusations leveled by Muhyiddin, as follows:
“First, I never met the former Prime Minister begging for my court cases to be dropped.
“Second, from the beginning I was convinced of the innocence of the prosecution slapped on me by the PH regime as soon as they formed the Federal Government.
“I faced the prosecution with fortitude and perseverance because I believe truth will prevail, provided no hidden hands tried to deny justice to me.
“Thirdly, the Johor state election has no bearing on the court, instead it will affect those who have deceived the people, those who had betrayed Umno and BN.”
