BN banks hope in 70 per cent new faces

JOHOR BAHRU, Feb 24 – Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the candidates for Johor State Election (PRN) are believed can deliver victory to the coalition.
He said decision is made after weighing their academic background, age and credible newcomers. However, some seniors with good track record were retained.
“More than 80 per cent of the candidates are those with high recommendation, less than 55 years of age and energetic.


“All component parties also feature more than 70 per cent are from new faces, hopefully the combination of these three elements will provide a game changer .

“We also do not forget the experienced to provide continuity in efforts to make Johor a developed state,” he said at the BN Candidate Announcement Ceremony here, today.
He also reiterated the WALI concept in determining the potential candidates.
“I am confident they can serve well for they are winnable, acceptable and likeable.
“God willing, all component parties will make it mandatory for their BN candidates to win the Johor PRN. This arrangement is the best formula for the Mentri Besar candidate Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad to form a formidable team.”
