KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 1 – Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan today reminded the public to refer to Umno’s official media, Umno-Online should they come across any statement issued under his name and using the party letterhead.

The secretary-general said a letter purportedly undersigned by him over the Kuala Lumpur High Court ruling yesterday, was fake.

“Let me advise the public, including the media practitioners to alaways refer to Umno-Online. This is to avoid confusion over any fake letter, slander and lies spawn by our political enemies. This is merely a stupid act,” he said.

A letter undersigned by the Pontian MP on March 31 was drafted in such a way that it criticised the court over its ruling to turn down a RM16 million suit by SRC International against the party.

Among things mentioned is the letter was that Umno would call a special Supreme Council meeting to decide on their next move.

Such a letter were circulated over and over again on the social media, believed to be the job of the parties trying to destroy Umno.
