Keep winning momentum, Ahmad Maslan tells BN

KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 – Barisan Nasional (BN) must maintain its winning momentum following victory in by-elections and state elections, said Umno Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
Over the last four years, he said BN was triumphant in seven by-elections, and such a flow should be maintained until the 15th General Election.

“We won 14 seats in Sabah state election. With two appointed reps, it became 16. In Melaka, BN won 21 out of 28 seats or 75 per cent of it.

“BN friend GPS won 76 out of 82 seats or 92 per cent in Sarawak. This is a significant victory. It keeps the momentum when we won 40 seats in Johor or 71 per cent of the 56 seats. Its more than 2/3.”
He said this at KIMMA (Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress) Raya open house here, today.
The Pontian MP hoped BN will keep such a momentum in the next GE.
“BN must win GE15 for the sake of country’s and national stability. BN also wants victory for the benefit of the people, to improve their economy, social, education and social affairs.
“We need to ensure a peaceful and prosperous country. That is our ultimate goal.”
