‘Closed down Crackhouse for good’

KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 – Umno Youth hopes the authority will close Crackhouse Comedy Club for good, says its chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
He says this was because the individuals involved in ridiculing Islam were not just one person.
“We remains firm, this club must be closed immediately! The Crackhouse issue doesn’t just involve the actions of one woman alone. Try looking on Youtube.
“Not once or twice but a series of jokes and comedies that satirize, belittle and denigrate Islam and also subtly ridicule certain races continue to be held through the club stage.
“Congratulations to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall for acting quickly by seizing the premises,” he said in a message.
Dr Asyraf also said Malaysians were hurt by the actions of those involved.
Earlier, a video showed a woman Siti Nuramira Abdullah claiming to be a Muslim and had memorized 15 verses of the Quran before suddenly removing her baju kurung and hijab at the premises.
A few days later, there were several videos of the co-founder of the comedy club Rizal Van Geyzel issuing statements insulting Islam and the Malays.
