MEDIA STATEMENT
THE Umno Supreme Council meeting chaired by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today, August 4, 2022 has concluded:
1. Dates for Branch and Division delegates conferences and the General Assembly:
a) Branch meetings from Aug 15 to Sept 18
b) Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri divisional delegates meetings on October 7, 8 and 9
c) Divisional delegates meetings on October 14, 15 and 16
d) Party General Assembly on 23-26 November 2022.
2. All branch and division meetings and the General Assembly will see no election this time on.
3. The Supreme Council accepted the Registrar of Societies (RoS) approval with a little changes to the party Constitution which took effect on 29 July 2022. The Council expressed its gratitude for the approval.
4. All states under the BN administration are advised to amend their respective embodiment laws or enactment once amendment to the Federal Constitution on Anti-Hopping Law is gazetted.
5. The Council also urged party machineries at all levels to be at their best in preparing for the 15th general election albeit no exact date has been confirmed.
