JOHOR BAHRU, Aug 18 – Barisan Nasional (BN) has set a high target for Johor to become the largest contributor of Parliamentary seats during the 15th General Election (GE15), said its Deputy Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
Expecting the state to regain its position as BN’s strongest fort, he said Johor can deliver at least 20 Parliamentary seats.
“It is a tough task for Johor, out of 26 parliamentary seats, we expect Johor to be able to contribute 20,” he said before chairing the Johor BN Coordinating Committee meeting here, today. It was attended by Johor BN Chairman Datuk Hasni Mohammad, Umno Vice President Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Umno Secretary General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Umno Youth Chief Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and MIC Vice President Datuk M Asojan.
Mohamad Hasan said BN’s priority is to win.
Candacy, he said will be based on merit.
