Agong summons 30 BN MPs to the Palace today

UPDATE: BN has asked for postponement of the meeting with the King. However, only chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, his deputy Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and BN sec-gen Datuk Seri Zambry Kadir had audience with His Majesty at 10.30am.

HIS Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has summoned all 30 BN Members of Parliament to the Istana Negara today after Muhyiddin Yassin and Anwar Ibrahim had audience with him yesterday.

It will take place at 10.30AM.

After yesterday’s meeting, Muhyiddin said his Perikatan Nasional will not work together with Anwar’s Pakatan Harapan to form a government after result of the 15th general election has caused a ‘Hung Parliament. No single party obtained a simple majority 112 out of the 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat to form a government.

A meeting between BN and PH to go along together on Sunday and Monday has also reached a stalemate.

Also yesterday, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri said BN prefer to stay as the Opposition when it took a position not to support either PN or PH.
