T’ganu files petition for 3 Parliament seats

TRENGGANU Umno has filed petition at the High Court to nullify election result for the three Parliamentary seats won by PAS in the recently concluded 15th general election.

Its chairman Ahmad Said said the action is taken against PAS’ buying votes at the three constituencies.

“Never had happened in my nine general elections that such a big amout on money was distributed openly, even they did it during Hari Raya through i-fitri. This includes for those newly=wed and under-graduates to buy votes.’

He claimed that such dirty activities took place in eight constituencies but only three have valid witnesses.
