THE Registrar of Societies (RoS) will hold a meeting with Umno representatives next week regarding a motion passed at the party’s general assembly not to have any contests for the top two posts in the upcoming party polls.

This was revealed by its director-general Nawardi Saad, who also said that the RoS has yet to receive a full report about the general assembly held from Jan 11 to 14, Berita Harian reported.

“We have not received the full report yet, but we will be meeting with Umno next week,” he said.

The RoS is currently investigating a complaint lodged by two Umno members alleging that the motion violated party’s constitution.
