FT urges MACC to investigate Radzi Jidin

FEDERAL Territories Umno has reportedly called on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today to investigate allegations of corruption involving Perikatan Nasional (PN) MP Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin.

In a report by Malay daily Utusan Malaysia, its Information head Ghulam Muzaffar Ghulam Mustakim made the appeal following two viral WhatsApp text messages linking the former education minister to irregularities in the awarding of school maintenance contracts and the printing of Islamic studies books.

He said that the first message purportedly tied Radzi to awarding a contract to a prominent contractor known as “Datuk Chia”, who allegedly mishandled school maintenance projects.

“We understand that this individual is also part of a cartel and his modus operandi is to go to schools claiming to be from Centres of Responsibility, and offer allocations to schools directly from the Education Ministry or the District Education Office.
