Malaysia-Argentina discuss bilateral ties

FOREIGN Minister Seri Mohamad Hasan yesterday received his Argentinian counterpart Diana Elena Mondino and her delegation at his office in Wisma Putra.

Both sides discussed at length bilateral issues between the two countries.

“We also exchanged views on international issues, including our role in the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), ASEAN-Argentina cooperation and the Palestine-Israel conflict,” Mohamad who is Umno’s deputy president said in his FB posting.

Mordino will also meet Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during her first visit to Malaysia.

Argentina is Malaysia’s third largest trading partner in Latin America with a total volume worth RM8.23 billion last year.
