UMNO will do its best to ensure that the TVET implementation achieves its objective.

Secretary-General Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said after the Supreme Council meeting last night this is to give better future to about 250,000 youths nationwide, especially in preparing them with necessary skill before entering the job market.

The MT meeting was chaired by party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Asyraf also said Umno appreciates and thanks the government for accepting the party’s idea to set up the GIG Economic Commission.

Meanwhile, the meeting also expressed support for PH candidate in Sungai Bakap state seat by-election and will help the campaigning.

Zambry Abdul Kadir was appointed the election director for Sg Bakap, Musa Sheikh Fadzir as Operation Director and Ahmad Maslan as the War Room chief.

The meeting also endorsed 21-24 August as dates for the General Assembly.
