HIS ROYAL Highness Sultan Ibrahim was today (Saturday) installed as Malaysia’s 17th King and Raja Zarith Sofea as the Queen.
The ceremony at Istana Negara was a symbol of monarchy democracy practised by the nation since long.
With cries of “Daulat Tuanku” (Long Live the King) ringing out nationwide, the historic ceremony not only marks a key moment in Malaysian history but also underscores the nation’s steadfast commitment to parliamentary democracy under a constitutional monarchy.
It was witnessed by 34 million Malaysians and the whole world.
