UMNO has finalised its seat allocation negotiations with Pakatan Harapan for the upcoming Sabah state election.
Its secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said talks on cooperation with other coalitions are still ongoing.
“We are constantly refining matters related to seat allocations, and negotiations are still underway. With Pakatan Harapan, the discussions have been concluded. For other coalitions, it will depend on the outcome of negotiations, which will continue soon,” he said at a press conference at Umno Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur last night after the supreme council meeting.
In the current 73-seat state assembly, Umno holds 11 seats while PH has 7.
On July 28, PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh had said that seat negotiations between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional for the upcoming Sabah state election were completed.
