UMNO is considering to withdraw its support for Perikatan Nasional and will also present new conditions should the coalition still needs it to continue the political cooperation. It must be on paper and be implemented as soon as possible.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan will also propose to the Muafakat Nasional Steering Committee for MN be registered as a valid political party.

“Umno will continue its struggle for the people and in ensuring that the Covid-19 pandemic is contained for the sake of the rakyat and nation’s well being.

“Umno is of the opinion that political stability is paramount while the economic progress must be elevated. Any decision is made to benefit the rakyat, religion, race and nation,” he said in a media statement tonight.

On other matters, he said the Political Bureau has set all divisional delegates meetings simultaneously on 6-8 November and will be officiated by their respective division heads, while the party’s general assembly is slotted for December 17-19 2020.
