EPF: Government finally bows out to people’s request

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 – UMNO Puteri chief Datuk Zahida Zarik Khan said, the government finally bows out to the people’s voice to do away with conditions in their I-Sinar withdrawal.
She commented that this is one of UMNO’s main demands in the day-to-day budget.
“We continue to thank Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for finally agreeing with the demands of many people who are very depressed with the current economic recession.
“I just demanded for the second request on the automatic moratorium to be given due consideration as well… we pray. I hold to the original position so that both of the above requests can be approved. This is not asking for financial assistance from the government,” she said on a Facebook posting today.
Zahida added that the people hope that the government can use their power to implement these demands for the sake of the sustainability of their lives.
“Although the government has to ‘sacrifice’ only one (former EPF CEO) to make the I-Sinar scheme a success, I think the cost is sufficient to ensure that the people continue to be helped. Well done for those who concern. It is hoped that other ministers can emulate this move,” she said.
