KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 – The Youth movement fully supports the order of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Malay Rulers for Parliament to reconvene as soon as possible to discuss the Emergency Ordinance and the National Recovery Plan in dealing with COVID-19.

Its chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the term ‘immediately’ by His Majesty was very clear that Parliament session must be called as soon as possible.

This is further reiterated in a media statement by the Keeper of the Great Seal of the Rulers which expressed the support of the Rulers was in line with the stand of The King.

“We are very upset with the government’s attitude trying to make excuses out of it,” he said in a FB posting.

Asyraf stressed the Parliament session is very important to enable reps debate the peoples’ issue, and for that the Youth urged the government to reconvene it before the Emergency ends on August 1.

“Failure to carry out His Majesty’s order is akin to staging a rebellion,” he said.
