KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 – Pemuda Umno fully supports firm action by the Pahang State Government under Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail over the illegal enroachment of the permanent reserve land in Batu Talam, Raub.

Its chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the action reflects the manifestation of Umno-BN led Pahang government in upholding the Rule of Law.

“The illegal farming, especially on the permanent forest reserve (HSK) is definitely against the law and it must be stopped immediately and those involved must be brought to justice.

“Pemuda regrets and deplores the politicians who took opportunity in this issue, notable the DAP like Ronnie Liu who wanted to become a hero by protecting them. Furthermore, they deliberately applied pressure on the authority who tried to enforce the law,” he said.

He commends the authority for being strict in their action as shown in a viralled video on the social media.
