KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 – Party Treasurer Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor is of the view that no other party can match Umno in terms of organisational structure.

He said this was because Umno has been established for so long and is entirely different when compared to the newly formed parties.

“This structure is very strong and difficult to be shaken by opposing parties,” he said.

The Putrajaya Division Chief said Umno also has the right principles for the benefit of the people.

“Umno is a political organisation that has methods to ensure that the interests of the Malays are safeguarded, which is an important matter. It is relevant as a party organization, has a Constitution and knows the direction where we want to take this country.

“We are not like other parties that have no direction and do not know what to do, and their members are aware of it,” he said.

He said this when met after receiving membership forms from 120 people, including former Putrajaya Division PPBM Chief Datuk Seri Dr Erwan Mohd Tahir, who announced that he would leave the party with immediate effect and return to Umno, yesterday.
