KUDAT, Oct 18 – Umno members are reminded not to stab at each other in an effort to continue the party’s struggle, said its vice-president Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid.
Using the connotation of a group of crabs stabbing and outdoing each other to get out of the basket, he said that should not have happened in Umno if it wanted to remain relevant.
“Don’t be like a crab in a basket which climbs on others to get out of it, resulting in others fall. Avoid such an attitude, let us all stand in solidarity.
“From Perlis to Sabah, Umno is a party with solid structure at all levels. We must continue to strengthen the party to face the 15th general election. The grassroots are our strength,” he said.
The Rural Development Minister said this while officiating the Bengkoka and Pitas Umno division meetings here, today. Also present were Sabah Liaison Committee Chairman Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin, Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad and Kudat UMNO Division Head Akram Ismail.
