MELAKA, Nov 13 – Young candidates representing Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Melaka State Election (PRN) must be given a chance as becoming representatives to carry across the young generation’s aspiration at the State Assembly, said Information Chief Shahril Hamdan.
The Youth deputy chief also gave his assurance that they would work hard and serve their respective constituents accordingly.
“BN is giving rooms to more young people this time. There is no denying that the ’18th Vote’ that will change the country’s political scenario.
“They are Along (Fairul Nizam Roslan) who contested in Asahan, Dr. Akmal (Akmal Saleh) in Merlimau and Datuk Dira (Khaidirah Abu Zahar) who contested in the Rim state constituency,” he said in a FB posting.
Shahril also promoted another two young Umno candidates, namely Datuk Rais Yasin in Paya Rumput and Mohd Noor Helmy Abdul Halem in Duyong.
“Rais graduated from Al-Azhar University, one of the oldest universities in the world… I always see him delivers tazkirah and sermons every week. This is the best candidate for Paya Rumput,” he said.
“Noor Helmy is Kota Melaka Division Umno Youth Chief. The people know him as a City Council Member who looks after the people’s issues well.
“During the COVID-19 outbreak, Helmy together with Kota Melaka Youth Division succeeded in a sanitation program where 5,340 houses were sanitized for free,” he said.
