KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 – Party President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reminded voters in Melaka to think twice and not be gullible by slanders meant to demonise Barisan Nasional.
Any misconception, he said will be disastrous for their future.
“Enough of what happened when Melaka was cheated on May 9, 2018. Don’t repeat the mistake because we need to consider the future. Once bitten, twice shy.
“They should take this Saturday as a voice to change and improve stability and prosperity in the state as BN has brought about development over the few decades. It was BN who brought all the prosperity,” he said in a Facebook posting.
Zahid who is also BN chairman called on all the state voters to evaluate BN and put behind any bad propaganda stage by BN’s opponents.
He said, the harmonious Melaka society was build by BN as it practices fair approach to all.
“Melaka needs BN method to steer back the state to pave a way for a better future. So, don’t waste the opportunity on November 20 polling day.”
The Bagan Datuk MP also reminded them of the black episode of being under PH for 22 months.
“We have seen a fragile state government collapsed on October 4 as the result of four reps, including one from PPBM and one Independent. Ironically, two of them are now with PH as candidates while another has to contest as an Independent.
“In other words, the people by now should be able to ascertain which party was responsible to bring down the government of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Ali. The unpartisan voters have to understand that opting for Perikatan Nasional will also not assure stability in the state.
PN, he said is a splinter party to Umno and does not have grassroots support.
“A vote for PN is actually a vote for PH since they are together. The people of Melaka must be able to decide because PH is no longer in the people’s favour.
“They have failed us, so avoid them. They lies and slanders led to our downfall in Melaka and at the Federal level.
“Do you still want to be cheated? Think,” Zahid said.
