Moving on the right economic track – Shahril

KUALA LANGAT, Dec 14 – ‘Keluarga Malaysia’s 100-day achievement is laudable as it moves on the right track to elevate the economic status of the nation and its people, said Information Chief Shahril Hamdan.

It also reflects how the Umno-led government is striving for its best to steer the country’s depleting economy into normalcy despite some hiccups from the past.

“I notice how the first 100 days of the government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who is also Umno vice-president has shown some achivements and identifying areas to be further improved.

“For instance, the creation of more jobs in each quarter of the year, entreprenuership development under Umno minister and the increase in foreign direct capital (FDI) over RM100 billion,” he said.

Shahril also agreed that there are areas to be resuscitated as the result of the stagnant economy during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“No denying that there are still many challenges like the spiraling price of goods, unemployment which stood at over 700,000 and our competitveness level in competing with other countries in order to woo more foreign invesments,” he said.

As such, he said Malaysians must retain the current government by taking the cue from Melaka state election.

“As long as Keluarga Malaysia is there, we need to defend it for political stability and getting more feedback from the party in charting what is best for the nation. The people too is facing some challenges but as for now, it is Umno that secure and fight for them,” he said.
