KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 – Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Umno is truly a sincere and honest political party that really cares for the people and the country.

He said the parties that try to match Umno and deceive the voters are just copycats and not sincere, let alone honest.

The BN Chairman commented in his FB following media reports that several State Assemblymen from the ‘flower party’ in Johor wanted to leave it and rejoin Umno.

“The reps themselves have answer to this. They will reason it out. The arrogant party is in fact facing a trust deficit.

“So what is the rationale and justification for the people to still supporting this party when some of its grassroots leaders do not?

“Actually, that is the significant difference between something genuine and fake, authentic and fictional. Certainly the original is of better quality than the plagiarism. ”

Zahid who is also the Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk also said that the basis of Umno’s struggle for religion, race and country has been ingrained in this party for so long and is not rhetorical or just a political agitation.

“It is not newly formed on the basis of individual political struggle, revenge, hatred, envy and resentment and aims to oppress the enemy,” he added.
