JOHOR BAHRU, March 8 – Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi hopes the people of Johor will reject the politics of hatred and focus on what is important, namely the future.
He hopes all truth will prevail in the state election on March 12 as its important for them to distinguish between politics of gentlemen and hate politics.
“I actually sympathise with Pejuang chairman Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who looks so desperate that he had to come down to Johor a few days ago. Apparently, his cronies and political allies were reluctant to bring him down for campaigning.
“May the former Pakatan Harapan premier always be in good health,
“Do not misunderstand me. The fact is that BN as a political party that always supports the principles of democracy, we have no problem with Tun Mahathir campaigning in Johor,” he said in a FB posting, adding that Tun has just being discharged from the hospital.
Dr Mahathir, he said should look after his health instead of his cronies.
“However, there is a little regret to see Tun Mahathir still continuing with his political approach of deception and using abusive words. Surely everyone remembers that in May 2019, Tun Mahathir once called someone who was admired and loved by the people of Johor as a ‘stupid boy’.
“He had also said that only fools are in UMNO. Maybe he is the only smart guy around.”
Zahid asserted that Dr Mahathir’s great acting during his tenure as the Prime Minister of the PN Government is over.
