BN wins Johor state election in style

JOHOR BAHRU, Mac 13 Mac – Barisan Nasional emerged victor in the Johor state election by winning 40 out of 56 State Assembly seats in the March 12 polling.

Its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi attributed it specially to the Johorians for picking the coalition which lost the state in the 14th general election in May 2018.

He said it also reflects the trust given to BN candidate for the Mentri Besar post, Datuk Hasni Mohamad to continue developing Johor for the benefit of the people.

 

“It is a thumping victory for us, it’s also beyond expectation. I would also like to thank all of you for the victory.

“My sincere gratitude to His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor for consenting the dissolution of the State Assembly which paved the way for this election,” he said at the party Command Center here, last night.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman and the election director Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan expressed his gratitude for BN’s success in recapturing Johor.
He said, BN will ensure the people of Johor live well for the next five years.
Vice-President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob also congratulated Barisan Nasional for they victory.
“Congratulations to Barisan Nasional on the victory,” he said in a FB posting.
He also expressed gratitude to the voters, leadership, machinery and staff who worked hard to ensure BN’s victory in the state election.
“Stability has returned to Johor!”
